ABA Services & Therapy
FACT utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through all of their provided services as they strongly believe in the science of Autism therapy.
We have Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) that are highly experienced and supervise Behavior Technicians (BT) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) conducting the implementation of an Individualized Service Plan (ISP). BCBA’s are governed by a Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) that includes a code of ethics. In some states, BCBA’s are also required to obtain a state licensure; Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). BCBA’s are required to obtain continued education credits and renew their Certificate and License typically on a 2 year basis.
ABA is a research based practice that applies interventions in order to improve socially significant behaviors. More specifically, ABA targets behaviors of an individual in the areas of maladaptive behavior modification, communication, social skills, safety, and activities of daily living skills (ADLs). The desired behaviors are increased by systematically providing reinforcement following the desired actions. The overall goal of ABA is to increase the skills that an individual possess and teach new skills so they can be more successful and independent in their natural environments including home, school, work, or out in the community. An ISP is developed and updated quarterly to meet the individual’s needs.
Most insurances approve ABA services for individuals from 2-21 years of age. If you or a family member is above 21 looking to receive services, please reference our Adult services page.
